Flower baskets maintained by volunteers
The flower baskets hanging from light poles in the three blocks between San Carlos Ave. and Arroyo St. are funded and maintained by volunteers from San Carlos Together. Currently we have 82 baskets in place. They are internally watered by a drip system operated and maintained by the city. The ongoing planting and maintenance of the baskets is assumed by our volunteer community building organization.
Donate to the Plant Fund
We obtain financial and plant donations from business owners and residents. Funds raised are used to purchase plants, soil, liners and supplies. The cost to continue this program is $50 per basket per year, or a total of $4000.
